Dønnervind

Dønnervind brings a different kind of water ride to Plohn’s Viking village. Rather than slowly climbing a lift hill, the eight-seat boats are propelled forward by two magnetic launches, including acceleration straight out of the water. Twisting track, sweeping turns and splashdowns alternate along the 535-metre course, reaching 53 km/h.

Built by Mack Rides, it opened on 19 June 2026 for the park’s 30th anniversary as the world’s first multi-launch water coaster. The Nordic setting carries through the station and surrounding scenery, while the relatively low, 10-metre-high layout keeps the action close to the water.
