Jungle Cruise

Jungle Cruise is a boat ride in which a skipper guides guests along a fictional jungle river past Audio-Animatronic wildlife and ruins, delivering a scripted comic narration throughout the voyage. It opened at Disneyland Park on 17 July 1955 as one of the park's original Adventureland attractions, inspired in part by Disney's True-Life Adventures nature documentaries. The river channel was one of the few elements far enough along for Walt Disney to show off on pre-opening television specials. The attraction has been refurbished many times to update its scenes and, more recently, to remove outdated depictions of indigenous people.
