Jurassic Park: The Ride

Jurassic Park: The Ride was the original dinosaur boat ride on the Lower Lot of Universal Studios Hollywood, opening on 21 June 1996 after a reported $110 million build. A calm raft tour of the park went wrong when the boat was diverted into the raptor containment area, ending in an 84-foot plunge past a Tyrannosaurus rex. It closed on 3 September 2018 and reopened in 2019 as Jurassic World – The Ride on the same layout.
