La Descente du Nil is a WhiteWater West Spinning Rapids Ride at Parc Astérix. It originally opened in 1999 as L’Oxygénarium, with a fanciful air-purifying-machine theme. For the 2026 season it was renamed and rethemed as part of the park’s expanded Egyptian area.

Six-person circular rafts are lifted to a height of 20 metres before spinning down a winding open waterslide. The new story takes riders towards a sacred spring under the gaze of Hâpy, the deity of the Nile. The 195-metre length recorded here refers to the descent; the whole circuit is probably around 400 metres long.
