La Revanche des Pirates – Le Grand Splatch

La Revanche des Pirates – Le Grand Splatch is an Intamin Spillwater ride at Parc Astérix. It opened with the park on 30 April 1989 as Le Grand Splatch. Large, 20-person boats travel along an elevated water channel before a splashdown.

The attraction reopened with a pirate retheme on 30 March 2024 for the park’s 35th anniversary. Barbe Rouge and his crew, the repeatedly shipwrecked pirates from the Astérix comics, attempt to ambush the Gauls with catapults, nets and other traps. The existing water-ride system was retained.
