Pirate River opened at Barry Island Pleasure Park in March 2016, a Reverchon log flume bought second hand from the Netherlands at a reported cost of more than a million pounds.

Eight logs carry up to four riders each through 100,000 litres of water and two slides, in a ride lasting about three minutes.
