Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean at Disneyland Paris is a dark boat ride in Adventureland, based on the same swashbuckling theme as the 1967 Disneyland original that Walt Disney personally oversaw. It opened on 12 April 1992 alongside the park itself, then called Euro Disneyland. Guests board boats that pass through a fortress under siege, sailing past moonlit lagoons, seaside forts and a full-scale pirate attack. The Paris version's boat system was supplied by Swiss manufacturer Intamin, and it is one of four Pirates rides operating in Disney parks worldwide.
