Pirates of the Caribbean

Pirates of the Caribbean at Tokyo Disneyland is a dark boat ride depicting the adventures of pirates in the West Indies during the 17th and 18th centuries. It opened on 15 April 1983, shortly after the park's debut. The ride follows the format pioneered at Disneyland in 1967, with boat-borne guests passing through scenes of pirate raids, battles and revelry. It was later updated with Captain Jack Sparrow, tying the attraction to the Pirates of the Caribbean film series.
