Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges

Popeye & Bluto's Bilge-Rat Barges is a whitewater rafting ride themed to the Popeye cartoons in the Toon Lagoon area of Universal's Islands of Adventure. Engineered by Barr Engineering and opened on 28 May 1999, it was billed at the time as one of the world's biggest and fastest raft rides. Twelve-person circular rafts drift along a course of about six minutes past rapids, waterfalls and animated figures. With a 42-inch height requirement, it guarantees riders a thorough soaking.
