Poseidons Flotte

Poseidons Flotte is a water carousel at Belantis near Leipzig, Germany, opened in 2007 in the Greek-themed Strand der Götter (Beach of the Gods) area. It is a Zierer Jet Skis installation, a model built in cooperation with Inno-Heege.

Nine small galley-style boats circle a central tower on an artificial lake. Each rider takes the helm: a steering wheel lets you turn the boat up to 90 degrees against the current, and the more you turn across the waves the wetter and wilder the ride becomes. A ride lasts about a minute and a half, and riders must be at least 100 cm tall (120 cm to ride unaccompanied).
