Rhino Rally

Rhino Rally was a safari-themed off-road adventure in the Nairobi area of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay. Guests boarded 17-passenger Land Rover vehicles for a rugged drive past free-roaming animals before the tour went wrong: the vehicle ended up on a pontoon bridge that broke loose in a flash flood, sending riders drifting down a rushing river before being washed back ashore.

That water finale was the highlight of the attraction. The river section was closed in 2007 after ongoing technical trouble and the ride continued as a land-only safari tour. Rhino Rally closed for good on 1 September 2014 because of persistent maintenance issues, and its site was later used for Serengeti Flyer.
