River Quest

River Quest is Phantasialand's extreme river rapids ride, set in the flooded ruins of a medieval castle in the Mystery area. Nine-seat "bat boats" are hoisted by vertical lifts to a course stacked on several levels, then dropped through whirlpools, waterfalls and the ride's signature 11-metre plunge. Built by German specialist Hafema and opened in 2002, it is widely considered one of the wildest — and wettest — rapids rides in Europe.
