Speed Boats
Blackpool Pleasure Beach· Blackpool, United Kingdom
The Speed Boats were small petrol motorboats that riders steered themselves along a narrow, winding channel at the north-east end of the park. Despite the name they were a gentle, putt-putt affair, and the boats had earlier sailed on the park's large lake before the Log Flume was built there. The ride was remembered for its striking art deco sign, and part of its site was later used for the Water Chute that became Vikingar.
