Spirit of Singapore Boat Ride

Madame Tussauds Singapore· Sentosa, Singapore

The Spirit of Singapore Boat Ride is an indoor boat ride inside Madame Tussauds Singapore at Imbiah Lookout on Sentosa — the first (and only) boat ride in any Madame Tussauds attraction worldwide. It opened with the wax museum on 25 October 2014 and links the museum to the Images of Singapore LIVE experience.

Free-floating boats seating eight riders travel for about three minutes through a fantasy tropical Singaporean garden with scented lilies, jasmine and giant palms, past stylised versions of the city's landmarks: the Formula 1 Singapore night race (complete with the smell of burning rubber), the Singapore Flyer and a Singapore Airlines A380 roaring overhead on its way to Changi Airport. Lighting and sound effects are triggered by the boat's position.

The ride system was supplied by Intamin Amusement Rides. The attraction's elaborate lighting design used some 700 track spotlights and DMX-controlled effects including moving lights, wind and smoke machines.
