Splash Mountain

Splash Mountain was a log flume themed to the Br'er Rabbit characters from Disney's 1946 film Song of the South, with Audio-Animatronic scenes and a climactic five-storey plunge into a briar patch. It opened in Disneyland Park's Critter Country on 17 July 1989 and its 87-foot mountain became a landmark of that area. Amid criticism of its ties to the racially controversial Song of the South, Disney announced the ride would be reimagined, and it closed permanently on 31 May 2023. The building and flume reopened in 2024 as Tiana's Bayou Adventure.
