Tanganyika Tidal Wave

Tanganyika Tidal Wave was a shoot-the-chute in the Stanleyville area of Busch Gardens Tampa Bay, built by Arrow Dynamics. It opened on 15 June 1989, replacing the earlier African Queen Boat Ride while reusing much of its course and theming. Twenty-passenger boats travelled a course of roughly 1,300 feet ending in a 55-foot drop. The ride closed permanently on 10 April 2016 and was demolished in 2018 to make way for the Tigris roller coaster.
