This indoor boat ride opened in 1990 as Professor Burp's Bubbleworks, a fizzy-drinks factory dark ride famous for its dancing fountains and soaking finale. It ran as Bubbleworks from 2006 until 6 September 2016.
On 18 March 2017 it reopened, using the same boats and layout, as The Gruffalo River Ride Adventure, retelling Julia Donaldson's story scene by scene.
