Thunder River Rapids Ride

Thunder River Rapids Ride was an Intamin river rapids ride at Dreamworld on the Gold Coast, opened in 1986 and for three decades one of the park's best-known attractions, with round six-seat rafts travelling through a rocky canyon course.

On 25 October 2016 a pump failure caused a raft to collide with a stranded raft at the end of the circuit; four guests died. The ride never reopened and was demolished, and a 2018 coronial inquest found serious safety failings at the park. The accident also led to the closure of other older water rides in Australia, such as Sea World's Viking's Revenge.
