Timber Mountain Log Ride

Timber Mountain Log Ride is one of the oldest log flumes still operating and the first to be fully themed. Designed by Bud Hurlbut and built by Arrow for Knott's Berry Farm, it opened on 11 July 1969 with John Wayne riding the first log. Hollowed-out logs wind through a working 1880s lumber camp and sawmill inside an 85-foot mountain before the 42-foot final splashdown. A 2013 refurbishment by Garner Holt added new animatronics and scenes.
