Tiroler Wildwasserbahn

The Tiroler Wildwasserbahn is a log flume in the Austrian themed area of Europa-Park in Rust, Germany. Built in 1978, it was one of the park's first attractions and its first ride with a real drop. The troughs were built together with Arrow Dynamics, while the log boats came from Mack Rides and were renewed in 2005.

The 450-metre course is 18 metres high, runs for about 4 minutes 30 seconds and carries 24 boats of six riders, for roughly 1,600 riders per hour. After the station a conveyor belt lifts the boats to a first, smaller drop, followed by a long winding indoor section and the second and highest drop with a big splash. The park's Panoramabahn train passes underneath the first drop. Minimum height is 100 cm from four years old.

The ride opened plainly as "Wildwasserbahn"; the Tyrolean theme and the current name came later. The hall it shared with the Alpenexpress "Enzian" housed a walkthrough diamond cave from 1998 (latterly Yomi - Die Zauberwelt der Diamanten). A fire in June 2023 destroyed that cave and parts of the flume; the damaged sections were rebuilt and the ride reopened in 2024, with an open rock landscape, the Zauberschlucht der Diamanten, replacing the cave. A sister installation, Colorado Boat, opened at Gardaland in 1984.
