Tukkijoki

Tukkijoki was Finland's first log flume, opened at Särkänniemi in 1982. The ride was put together by the city of Tampere's own workshop, with the eight boats supplied by the French builder Reverchon.

The 440-metre course carries 270,000 litres of water, pumped up from lake Näsijärvi and returned to it. Logs drift through the shade past small drops and a wall of water before a final lift and a steep splashdown, where an on-ride camera takes the souvenir photo sold at the Tukkifoto stand.

Riders must be 120 cm tall, or 100 cm accompanied by an adult. A sister flume ran at Wasalandia in Vaasa from 1988 until 2015.
