Waimea

Waimea was the large splash-boat ride at Playcenter in São Paulo. Built by Intamin, it carried up to 20 people in each boat along a 223-metre course. The lift raised the boats more than 15 metres before the descent into the splash pool, where the impact threw up a large wall of water.

The park advertised a speed of 60 km/h, and spectators could watch the splash from beside the pool. Waimea closed at Playcenter when the outdoor park ended operations on 29 July 2012.
