Jurassic Park River Adventure

Jurassic Park River Adventure is a Vekoma-built shoot-the-chute in the Jurassic Park section of Universal's Islands of Adventure, inspired by Steven Spielberg's 1993 film. It opened on 28 May 1999, taking guests on a scenic raft cruise past dinosaur habitats before an escaped Tyrannosaurus rex forces a dramatic 85-foot plunge into darkness. It is a sibling attraction to the original Jurassic Park: The Ride at Universal Studios Hollywood, which opened in 1996. The Orlando version has since been rethemed in step with the Jurassic World films while keeping its original layout and drop finale.
