Rip Roarin' Falls

Rip Roarin' Falls is a WhiteWater West Super Flume announced in June 2026 and scheduled to open at Carowinds in 2027, on the former site of Rip Roarin' Rapids (closed 2019). Themed around a long-abandoned, possibly haunted lumber mill once run by the fictional Holz Brothers Logging Company, the 683-metre ride lasts about six and a half minutes. Eight-passenger boats are sent through two high-speed reversing switches, turning riders backward for a 13-metre reverse drop and a 10-metre reverse camelback — both world records — before a 30-metre, 80 km/h final drop, the tallest water ride drop in the world. Minimum rider height is 35 inches (89 cm) accompanied and 41 inches (104 cm) unaccompanied.
